Hello,

“This soup isn’t good enough for me!” Those few critical words were pronounced by yours truly at a very young age to my aunt who carefully prepared a Minestrone soup. Confronted with my apparent pickiness, she went on to serve me a bowl of Lipton soup. To everyone’s dismay, I commented “This is the best soup I ever had!”

Thankfully times have changed!  I’ve grown more curious and take great pleasure in culinary discoveries. The Tarnished Spoon will chronicle these adventures in food.

  1. Lol! I relate! I think I was a bit of a “beans on toast” kind of girl. But you wouldn’t recognise that trait in me if you looked in my pantry today😉 Looking forward to following your journey🙂

  2. The soup episode sounds a bit like things I used to say as a kid (and until around 20…). Fortunately, I decided to give food a second chance, and I am happy to see that you (and many others) did too!
